James Carmouche։ Beginning the Next Chapter at UNC School of Medicine

James Carmouche, MD Candidate at UNC School of Medicine, shared on LinkedIn:

“As my time at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University comes to a close, I want to thank my principal investigator, Chrystal Paulos, and the rest of the Paulos Lab for an amazing 2 years full of learning, collaboration, and growth.

My time in the Paulos Lab has been incredible, and I am very thankful for the community and memories that were made during my time in Atlanta.

Additionally, I am excited to share that later this month, I am going back to school at the UNC School of Medicine to work towards earning my MD degree.

I am beyond thankful for my mentors and colleagues at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, my colleagues, mentors, coaches, and teammates at Rhodes College, and most importantly, my family and friends for always supporting and believing in me throughout the years that led to this achievement.

The opportunity to pursue a career in medicine is truly an honor and a blessing, and I am looking forward to this next chapter back in my hometown of Chapel Hill.

Go Heels!”
