“Recent Advances of Precision Oncology in Urinary System Tumors.
In this paper ‘Heterogeneity of urinary system tumors: novel avenues for targeted therapy and precision medicine’, Dr. Longdan Kang, Dr. China Liang and team summarizes the role of Precision Oncology in urinary system tumors.
Urinary system cancers, such as kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer, are not the same in every person. Each tumor has unique genetic changes, which is why treatments may work differently from one patient to another. Precision medicine uses these genetic differences to match patients with targeted therapies that attack cancer more accurately while reducing damage to healthy cells. Although challenges such as treatment resistance remain, ongoing research is helping make cancer care more personalized and effective.
The role of Precision Oncology in urinary system tumors is further explained in the following video link: New Ways to Personalize Treatment for Urinary System Cancers.
At Iylon Precision Oncology (www.iylon.com) we harness genetic insights to provide personalized, evidence-based recommendations, helping guide the right medicine, for the right patient, at the right dose, at the right time, and aimed at the right target.”
