Istvan Borbiro։ Cancer Care Coordination Summit to Explore What Keeps Cancer Care Teams Working Well

Istvan Borbiro, Founder of Nexus Recognita, Member, Board of Directors at INSciTS-International Network for the Science of Team Science, shared on LinkedIn:

“Save the date: Thursday 26 November.

Someone in your team prepares the board before anyone else arrives.

Someone chases the result that has not come back.

Someone carries the decision to the patient, and notices when it did not get there.

That work holds the team together. In most cases it holds no record.

In March, at an ECO/EONS roundtable on AI in cancer care, we put one question to the room. What framework exists for the coordination layer?

Twelve seconds of silence. Then the honest answer: none.

On 26 November that question comes back to a full room.

The Cancer Care Coordination Summit. One evening online, in two parts.

  • Part one. Who holds your team together? People from different seats in the team say what breaks in the week, and one team shows how it holds․
  • Part two. What keeps a cancer team working well under pressure? The findings of the Cancer Care Coordination Study, a debate with a vote before and after, and what you can change from where you are․

Co-chaired with Stavroula Chante. With Carlos Cargaleiro, Vera Damerjian Pieters, Luis Gorospe-Sarasúa, Lusine Harutyunyan, Corina Richter, and Zacharoula Sidiropoulou.

Thursday 26 November 2026, 17:00 to 20:00 CET, on Zoom. Free.

Join both parts, or the one you need.

If this is the work you do, or the work you watch someone else do, there is a seat for you.

Register here: Who holds your team together?

If someone in your team should be in that room, pass this on.”
