“Telehealth is now a casualty of the government shutdown.
As of October 1, most Medicare telehealth visits have come to a halt – a direct result of Congress not passing a funding bill that included extensions of critical telehealth flexibilities.
- These flexibilities have been a lifeline for people with cancer – enabling timely, high-quality cancer treatment with less burden from transportation, childcare, or missed work.
- Act now. Join me in urging Congress to pass the CONNECT for Health Act of 2025 (#HR4206 /#S1261) — bipartisan, bicameral legislation to make Medicare telehealth flexibilities permanent. CONNECTAct
- Let’s not turn back the clock on telehealth. Thanks to ASCO Advocacy, you can contact your lawmakers with just one click.”
