Isabelle Thomassin-Naggara, Head of the Radiology Department at the Intercommunal Hospital Center of Créteil, shared on LinkedIn:
“There are moments of rare emotion. Moments that go through you and never leave you. This week, I was lucky enough to experience one. A moment that reminds me why I do the most beautiful job in the world: that of a doctor.
During the plenary conference of the Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR2026), I had the great honor of welcoming Carla Bruni, who agreed to confide in us, in all simplicity, about her experience of patient facing her breast cancer. Because behind every mammographie, behind every diagnosis, there is a person. A story. A life that turns upside down, then rebuilds itself.
She spoke to us of fear, doubt, hope. She reminded us that radiology is not just about technique or even less about IA of tomorrow: it is lived first and foremost in relationships, listening, humanity.
In this month of October when all the ribbons are pink, let’s remember that early detection saves lives.”
