Isabel Mestres, CEO of City Cancer Challenge, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I genuinely believe this is one of the most meaningful Board opportunities in global health right now.
Why? Because City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) is working on one of the hardest questions in global health: how do we move from ambition to implementation?
Not by writing another strategy or launching another isolated project, but by helping cities turn plans into coordinated action, aligning hospitals, laboratories, doctors, patient organisations, health authorities, data and financing around the same patient pathway, so people can move through diagnosis and treatment more quickly, safely and fairly.
We are now looking for new Board members to help shape C/Can’s next chapter, especially people with experience in strategy, global operations, health systems, financing, digital, governance, partnerships, implementation or resource mobilization. If this speaks to you, please apply.
If you know someone who should not miss this opportunity, give them a little nudge. Sometimes the best candidates are the ones who need someone else to say: ‘this is for you.’
Deadline: 26 June. Apply here
And for anyone wondering what makes a great Board member, I loved this simple reminder below. My favourite one? “Debate the destination. Then let staff choose the route.”
