Isabel Mestres, CEO of City Cancer Challenge, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today is an exciting day, so let me get straight to the point.
Today, City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) and MSD are announcing a new $10 Million, 5 year partnership, ‘Thriving Cities, Healthy Woman’ to improve the lives of more than 300,000 women living with cancer across 15 cities, train 2,000+ health professionals, and influence policy that could impact more than 10 million women by 2030.
As you can see in the pictures, MSD has been part of C/Can’s journey since its inception, when we were still an idea and a belief that cities could become powerful engines to strengthen health systems and improve cancer care.
Together, we have grown. From testing a model to building a consolidated city implementation approach that is now ready to go deeper, scale further, and be bolder.
Grateful to MSD for continuing this journey with us and for an incredible partnership that has been nurtured with trust, respect, and shared ambition over the years. Special thank you to Kalahn Taylor-Clark, PhD, MPH, Jenelle Krishnamoorthy, Jacquelyn Caglia, Chirfi Guindo and Alexander Roediger.”
