Isabel Deprince: “Daydreaming” – Turning Grief into Art and Hope

Isabel Deprince, a Belgian artist based in Paris, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Exhibition Announcement — “Daydreaming” | Paris, December 4–11

This December, I will present one of my most personal and ambitious collections to date: “Daydreaming”, an exhibition dedicated to my brother, whom I lost to cancer.

Created over the course of a year, this body of work explores the transformation of grief into light, how loss can become creation, and how art can turn silence into voice. Horses once again serve as my guides: symbols of strength, vulnerability, and the invisible bond between worlds.

The exhibition will take place in the heart of Saint-Germain, Paris (18 rue Dauphine, 75006),
with a vernissage on December 4 from 18h to 22h, and open daily from December 5 to 11, 11h–20h.

A part of sales from the collection will be donated to cancer research, as a way to give back to those fighting the same battle that shaped this story.

Recently, I had the chance to sit down with OncoDaily and CancerWorld to reflect on this journey and the dialogue between art, healing, and resilience. More to come soon… but for now, I’m simply grateful for the exchange and for the work they continue to do in raising awareness and hope.

Daydreaming” is, above all, a celebration of resilience, memory, and the beauty that can rise from pain.”
