International Alliance for Personalised Medicine (IPM Alliance) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“July is Sarcoma Awareness Month
Rare doesn’t mean invisible.
At the International Alliance on Personalised Medicine (IAPM), we stand in solidarity with sarcoma patients, survivors, caregivers, and advocates around the world. Sarcoma represents a rare and diverse group of cancers (more than 70 subtypes) that often go undetected or misdiagnosed, leading to delays in care and poorer outcomes.
Sarcomas account for less than 1% of adult cancers but are far more common in children and young adults. Their rarity makes research funding, public awareness, and access to specialized care more challenging, especially in low-resource settings.
Share this post. Start a conversation. Raise a ribbon. Let’s make rare cancers visible, together.”
