Ioanna Nixon։ New Blog Explores the Importance of Time to Think

Ioanna Nixon, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at University of Glasgow and Consultant Clinical Oncologist at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, shared on LinkedIn:

Thoughts of an oncologist.

Have you ever walked away from a conversation feeling lighter, not because someone gave you the answer, but because they gave you the space to think?

In a world obsessed with speed, advice and constant noise, perhaps what we’re missing isn’t more information. Perhaps we’re missing the opportunity to hear ourselves think.

In this week’s blog, I explore why I believe we don’t have a thinking problem, we have a time to think problem.

It’s a lesson I’ve learnt through medicine, leadership and coaching, and one that continues to shape the way I work with people.

Coaching isn’t about having the answers. At its best, it’s about creating the conditions for clear thinking, better decisions and meaningful change.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
