International Cardio-Oncology Society shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It takes a rare kind of physician to sit at the intersection of two of medicine’s complex specialties. Today, we honor them.
Cardio-oncology is still a young discipline – but the doctors in this field are asking bigger questions every day:
- How do we minimize the cardiovascular complications related to life-saving treatments?
- How do we monitor and support the heart health of cancer survivors long after remission?
- How do we build the evidence base to make these answers clearer for the future?
Thank you for protecting hearts – and saving lives – at the same time.”
