International Cancer Institute is soon launching the CPN100 Patient-Centered Oncology Navigation Training Program.

Oncology patient-centered navigation is an evidence-based model of care in which trained professionals – such as oncology nurses, clinicians, and social workers – guide patients and their families through every stage of the cancer journey.

The curriculum covers:

  • Foundations of oncology and cancer care
  • Patient-centered assessment and care coordination
  • Therapeutic communication and patient education
  • Symptom management and supportive care
  • Psychosocial oncology
  • Navigation across the cancer care continuum
  • Ethics and professionalism
