Imène Hadji: Voices of Oncology Professionals Across the Region

Imène Hadji, Medical Oncologist at CHU Annaba, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Behind every oncology professional is a human being navigating immense emotional, academic, and professional pressure.

In regions such as the Middle East and Africa, oncologists often work in highly demanding environments with limited resources, increasing workloads, emotional exhaustion, and growing expectations for excellence. Yet conversations around burnout, impostor syndrome, and perfectionism in our field remain far too limited.

To help shed light on these important issues, we are conducting a cross-sectional survey entitled:

‘Exploring Burnout, Impostor Syndrome, and Perfectionism Among Oncologists in the Middle East and Africa.’

This anonymous study aims to better understand the prevalence and interrelationship of these experiences among oncology professionals, with the hope of contributing to greater awareness, institutional support, and future well-being initiatives within our community.

  • If you are an oncology professional, your perspective matters.
  • The survey takes only a few minutes to complete.
  • Participation is entirely voluntary and strictly confidential.

We would be truly grateful for your participation and support. Please also consider sharing this survey within your professional network to help amplify the voices and experiences of oncology professionals across the region.”
