“Clinical Research Training Program for Oncology Professionals in Africa
Are you an oncology physician practicing in Africa and ready to strengthen your clinical research skills to better cancer care on the continent?
The International Cancer Foundation (ICF) invites applications for the Methods in Clinical Research Workshop for African Investigators, a fully funded, one‑year clinical research training program designed to build sustainable local oncology research capacity.
Apply to join a growing network of oncology professionals committed to advancing equitable, high‑quality cancer research in Africa.
What the program offers:
- 3‑day in‑person Workshop, November 6–8, 2026, Accra, Ghana
- Year‑long virtual mentoring
- 4‑week practical training at the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute (for selected participants)
- Networking and long‑term research collaboration opportunities
Who should apply?
- Oncology physicians based in Africa
- Employment at an academic or large medical institution
- Applicants must apply together with a research nurse or coordinator from the same institution
Participants will complete the program with a fully developed clinical research protocol
10 investigator teams will be selected.
