“September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month.
While outcomes for thyroid cancer are often favorable, certain treatments – particularly tyrosine kinase inhibitors used for advanced or recurrent disease – can raise blood pressure and have effects on the heart.
This makes cardio-oncology an important part of comprehensive care, helping patients manage cardiovascular side effects while continuing effective treatment.”
