“IARC and partners have identified blood protein patterns linked to the progression of cardiometabolic diseases and cancer in a large multinational study.
The findings highlight shared biological pathways – including inflammation and metabolic dysfunction – that underpin the development of multiple chronic conditions over time.
This research supports the potential of blood-based biomarkers to identify individuals at higher risk earlier and guide more integrated prevention strategies across diseases.”
