Huzaifah Salat: Your Worth Doesn’t Decrease Because Someone Can’t Recognize It

Huzaifah Salat, Inaugural Regional Medical Director of Respiratory Care for Metro Milwaukee (Org 100) Hospitals at Advocate Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This hit me hard.

Not because I’m angry or miserable in my current role. Its because I reflected on how often we question ourselves when our value isn’t seen.

When we stay a little longer than we should have.

When we explain ourselves a bit too much.

When we try to earn a seat that was never meant to be permanent.

What I’ve learned is this: Your worth doesn’t decrease because someone can’t recognize it. You don’t owe loyalty to spaces that only value your presence, not your impact.

Sometimes growth looks like leaving quietly.

Sometimes confidence looks like choosing yourself.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stand up, pick up everything you bring to the table and walk toward a better one.

If you’re in that in-between season right now, doubting yourself this is your reminder: You’re not asking for too much. You’re just asking the wrong table.

Shoutout to Shulin Lee for this gem.”
