“No transition zone needed!
Born and raised in the UAE, I grew up playing football on summer afternoons with temperatures reaching 45°C (113°F) and above and until now i can’t understand how we didn’t get dehydrated!
I then spent eight years in Hamilton, Canada – including several winter months in Thunder Bay – where temperatures could fall to –35°C to -40°C (-31°F to -40°F).
Living through both extremes taught me how to adapt – not only to different climates, but also to different personalities.
In life and leadership, we meet some of the kindest and most inspiring people, while also encountering difficult and toxic personalities. The real skill is learning how to communicate, remain composed, protect your values, and deal professionally with everyone – without allowing external conditions to change who you are.
Adaptability is not about becoming comfortable with every environment. It is about remaining grounded, effective, and true to yourself in every environment.”
