“This past weekend, leading oncology experts from the Arab region and around the world gathered in Amman to celebrate some of the brightest minds in global cancer research at the King Hussein Award for Cancer Research, held on 14 November — the birthday of the late His Majesty King Hussein, who personally battled cancer and championed international support for cancer research.
The King Hussein Award for Cancer Research stands as a tribute to scientific excellence, innovation, and collective hope in the fight against cancer.
The ceremony was hosted by HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, and HRH Prince Talal bin Muhammad.
I was honored to present a copy of my book ‘Cancer Care in the UAE’ to Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal.
It was a pleasure reconnecting with colleagues and friends from around the world, and meeting new collaborators dedicated to advancing cancer care.
