“Today, the most advanced public radiotherapy center in Romania was officially opened at the Spitalul Universitar de Urgenta Bucuresti – Emergency University Hospital. Equipment commissioning will start very soon, placing the center among the first in the public system to offer:
- Stereotactic radiotherapy
- In-house MRI, enabling adaptive radiotherapy and precise replanning
- 3D image-guided brachytherapy (CT and MRI)
- State-of-the-art RapidArc technology
The project also has a strong academic dimension. It will function as a university teaching unit, where I will be directly involved in training the next generations of radiation oncology residents and students. A project shaped by ambition and carried through despite significant challenges.”
