Hesham ElGhazaly, Elected President of the Executive Board at Egyptian Cancer Society, Professor of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University, and the Founder and CEO of Alfa Cure Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am proud to celebrate the success of the Egyptian Cancer Society (ECS) activities during Africa Health ExCon, and deeply honored to welcome all our African friends to Cairo, Egypt, from 15-18 June 2026.
A key milestone of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Egyptian Cancer Society and AORTIC, reflecting our shared commitment to advancing cancer research, education, and impactful collaborative initiatives across Africa.
As President of the Egyptian Cancer Society and a member of the AORTIC Research Committee, it was a privilege to participate in this important step toward strengthening continental collaboration.
I would like to extend my special thanks and appreciation to Cesaltina Lorenzoni, President of AORTIC, for her leadership, vision, and inspiring presentation on Precision Oncology. Her focus on collaboration and the future of cancer care in Africa strongly resonates with our collective mission and aspirations. To the ECS general secretary Reem Emad and ECS board Jamal Amira, Heba M. ELzawahry, Emad Hamada, Mohamed Samra, Nehal Elmashad, Emad Shash, Monier Abo Elela, Ola Khorshid, Samir Shehata, Lobna Ezzelarab, Hossam Elashtokhy and Esteemed colleagues Ashraf Omar, President of the Egyptian Liver Cancer Society, Ahmed Touny President of Egyptian Society of Surgical Oncology for their continuous effort and clear vision that together, we move forward with commitment to eliminate borders and improve cancer outcomes across Egypt and Africa through partnership, research, collaboration, and solidarity.”
