Hesham ElGhazaly on GBCC 2026: Policy on Breast Cancer and Global Collaboration

Hesham ElGhazaly, Elected President of the Executive Board at Egyptian Cancer Society, Professor of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University, and the Founder and CEO of Alfa Cure Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It was a great pleasure visiting Seoul, Korea for the first time, kindly invited by Prof. Sungbae Kim, to attend and participate in GBCC (Global Breast Cancer Conference) 2026 as a moderator and contributor to key discussions on global breast cancer policy and collaboration.

The meeting had a truly special character, blending high-level science with engaging social events and meaningful interactions with global leaders. It leaves you with warm, golden memories that extend well beyond the scientific sessions.

During the conference, I had the privilege of moderating the special session ‘Policy on Breast Cancer 2: Asian Real-World Breast Cancer Care and Policy,’ which brought together valuable real-world perspectives from across Asia, focusing on policy gaps, access to care, and alignment with the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative. I was particularly delighted by the interest and questions around the Egyptian experience and the opportunity to share lessons learned with a global audience.

I also participated in the ABCN Business Meeting, in addition to several scientific and social events that offered excellent opportunities for meaningful dialogue, exchange of ideas, and future collaboration with colleagues from around the world.

My sincere appreciation to Prof. Sungbae Kim for the kind invitation and for being an exceptional host. The thoughtful organization, warm hospitality, high scientific standard and the chance to explore the beautiful city of Seoul, it all truly made GBCC a memorable and impactful experience.

Grateful for the opportunity to exchange insights, strengthen regional and global partnerships, and work collectively toward improving breast cancer care worldwide. Wishing you continued success.”
