Research funding for MM is decreasing!
Progress in myeloma is real – but victory? No!
Five-year relative survival has improved to 63.7%, and the mortality rate continues to decline.
Yet in 2026, an estimated 10,850 Americans will die from myeloma – almost 30 every day.
Meanwhile, the most durable outcomes in FORTE, CEPHEUS and GEM2014MAIN still involve only approximately 20% of patients – although the populations, treatments and endpoints differ.
This is not failure.
It is unfinished work.
A disease still killing more than 10,000 Americans every year is not a field ready for a victory lap – or reduced R&D investment.”

Now is not the time to lift the foot from the pedal!”
