“ESMO 2026 | EONS19 – Madrid
Bringing together nearly 40,000 oncology professionals worldwide, ESMO Congress 2026 was an extraordinary celebration of science, innovation, and global collaboration.
A particularly meaningful part of this experience was EONS19, where inspiring discussions on health equity, digital innovation, supportive care, and the future of cancer nursing highlighted the transformative role of our profession.
I was honoured to contribute to the YCE-EONS YARN Project Session, presenting our work on the Inclusivity Checklist for Cancer Healthcare Settings.
Our interactive workshop sparked valuable discussions on moving from inclusivity as a principle to inclusivity in everyday clinical practice.
These insights will help guide the next steps in refining, piloting, and implementing the checklist.
I also had the pleasure of presenting our systematic review and meta-analysis:
՛Efficacy of Technology-Based Psychosocial Interventions on Quality of Life and Psychological Outcomes in Adolescent and Young Adult Survivors of Childhood Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.՛
My heartfelt thanks to EONS President Wendy McInally for her inspiring leadership and vision, and to Johan De Munter, Dr Maria Cable, and our wonderful EONS and YARN colleagues for their invaluable guidance, support, and collaboration Katie Rizvi and Nataliia Hrad․
Truly grateful to be part of this journey, connecting evidence, people, and shared ambitions to shape more equitable and compassionate cancer care.”
