Hazal Özdemir Koyu, Pediatric Oncology Nurse and Digital Health Researcher, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“After 6 years of dedicated work, I am truly pleased to share that my PhD research has been accepted for publication in Psycho-Oncology.
This randomized controlled trial highlights that a structured, needs-based technology-driven psychosocial empowerment program can significantly improve self-efficacy, problem-solving, proactive coping, and psychological well-being in children with cancer and their parents receiving home-based care.
More importantly, this research highlights a critical gap the need for accessible, personalized, and sustainable digital psychosocial interventions that truly respond to the real-life needs of children and parents in home-based care.
My deepest gratitude goes to the children and families whose strength and trust made this research possible
I also sincerely thank my supervisor for their guidance, and all colleagues who contributed to this journey.”
