“It was an honor to represent SSMC, our Cardio – Oncology Service, and the UAE ICOS Chapter at the 6th Annual Conference of the Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacists (SSCP) in Riyadh.
I had the privilege of leading a workshop on cardiovascular toxicities and presenting an update on immunotherapy – related cardiovascular adverse events – a topic of growing relevance as immunotherapy continues to significantly improve outcomes in refractory and advanced hematological and oncological malignancies.
Cardio – oncology is a rapidly expanding field, and I am deeply proud to have initiated this service at SSMC in June 2022. Its remarkable growth since then is a direct result of the close collaboration with our Oncology and Hematology department Aydah AlAwadhi and the dedication of our multidisciplinary colleagues.
A special thank you to Dr. Lama Alfehaid, Co-Chair of the meeting, for her kind invitation, and congratulations to her and the entire scientific committee for organizing such a well – executed, high – standard congress. It was a truly inspiring experience.
