When I joined LLS (now Blood Cancer United) 8 years ago, I had an idea that I scribbled on a piece of paper. I believed we had to change the way we develop new therapies for children with cancer and I Dared To Dream that we could do it. I never dreamed of how much support we would get from colleagues, academic partners, advocates, parents, survivors, pharma and other industry partners and our amazing volunteers.
We now have dedicated pediatric research, clinical trial nurse navigators, advocacy initiatives, education programs, free genomic sequencing for pediatric AML and the PedAL Master Trial. But we are not done. We want new therapies to move forward even faster and are collaborating with Tempus AI to create a Real World database for pediatric leukemia.
