Gonzalo López-Cuevas, Founding President of Cancer Warriors of Mexico, Treasurer at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“At the 2025 Making More Health Global Meeting here in Germany, I had the opportunity to represent Mexico and share the panel with two outstanding colleagues: Robert Shaw (Germany) and Sophie Bacq (Belgium). We discussed how to strengthen global health systems through collaboration among civil society, business, governments, and academia.
The health sector accounts for nearly 10% of the world’s GDP and employs one in every ten people – a clear sign of its vast economic and social impact. Strengthening this ecosystem through public policy is both a moral duty and a key driver for sustainable development.
Each time I represent Mexico abroad, I feel proud and aware of the responsibility to do so with integrity, professionalism, and proactive leadership, bringing the best practices from the organizations I serve.”
