Glory Makupa, Clinical Oncology Specialist at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
“Glad to share that our study, led by Kennedy Misso has just been published:
‘Clinical Outcomes of Pancreatic Head Tumors: A Seven Year Review at a Tertiary Hospital in Northern Tanzania.’
Over seven years, we found that most patients are diagnosed late, have limited treatment options, and face poor survival outcomes.
It’s a reminder of the urgent need for better diagnostics, access to treatments, and cost-effective ways to improve care.
Grateful to the whole team for their dedication, I hope this work sparks more action to support patients with pancreaticobiliary cancers.”
