“Health equity starts with access, and access starts with screening.
In Mexico, colorectal cancer is still too often diagnosed at later stages, when treatment options are more limited. Through support from GCCA’s Health Equity Grants program, Fundación Fomento de Desarrollo Teresa de Jesús (Fundación FUTEJE) is helping change that by bringing education, FIT screening, and follow-up care directly to underserved communities.
Their impact in 2025 included:
- 1,000 educational flyers distributed
- 200 FIT kits provided
- 143 test results processed
- 9 colonoscopies completed through the grant-supported program
Behind every screening is an opportunity for earlier detection and better outcomes.
Read how Fundación FUTEJE is building a stronger pathway from prevention to diagnosis and helping advance colorectal cancer health equity in Mexico.”
