“Another publication on financial toxicity in cancer care.
Many Drs aren’t aware of the significant financial burden of treatment. The cost of meds, transportation, missed work, parking, childcare, etc. The list is endless. Patients are often unaware until bills start to arrive and they see how little is covered by insurance (if they have any). Patients need to speak up and ask if the hospital/clinic has a financial counselor.”
