- Validate outputs
- Monitor drift
- Perform QA
The guidelines explicitly state that a Qualified Medical Physicist is responsible for commissioning and quality assurance of treatment planning systems.
No other medical specialty has this structure.
Not cardiology.
Not internal medicine.
Not surgery.
Radiation oncology literally created a profession dedicated to algorithm safety. ‘
