Gilberto Lopes: How Do We Make What Works Reach More People?

Gilberto de lima Lopes Junior, Chief of the Division of Medical Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“As WCLC26 comes to a close, I leave Seoul reminded that progress in cancer is never only about the next scientific result.

Discovery matters. But so do the institutions, partnerships and people that turn evidence into policy, implementation and care.

Over the past few days, I have learned from researchers, clinicians, advocates and colleagues from many parts of the world. Different health systems face different constraints, but the underlying challenge is remarkably similar: how do we make what works reach more people?

That work is collective, and it continues well beyond any one meeting.

Grateful to IASLC and to everyone who contributed to the conversations in Seoul. Next stop: Hong Kong and the World Cancer Congress.”
