Thomas Ichim, President and Chief Scientific Officer at Immorta Bio, shared a poll about mRNA cancer vaccine with options ‘good’ and ‘bad’ to choose by voters in a post on X:

The success of the Moderna mRNA cancer vaccine is…”
Gilberto Lopes, Chief, Division of Medical Oncology at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared the post by Thomas Ichim, adding while referencing the percentage of the poll votes at the time:
“47% think the promising mRNA vaccine against cancer is bad?
How come?”
To which Thomas Ichim commented:
“Sciences moves forward one funeral at a time… Look at what they did to Edison… Even after his success, skepticism persisted.
Nature published an editorial on February 12, 1880, titled ‘Edison and the Electric Light.’ It complained that Edison had announced supposed solutions repeatedly without tangible results.”
The poll ended with the 63.8% choosing the option ‘good’, while 36.2% chose ‘bad’
