Giannis Mountzios, Director of the 4th Oncology Department and Clinical Trials Unit at Henry Dunant Hospital Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
” These past few days, I had the particular joy and great honor to preside over and coordinate, together with my oncology colleague Kersti Oselin from Estonia, the Pan-European Masterclass of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) dedicated to small cell lung cancer-such a challenging disease, for which, however, there have been very significant therapeutic developments in recent years.
Together with internationally recognized colleagues from across Europe, who are fully specialized in lung cancer, we had the opportunity to present and analyze the entire spectrum of diagnosis, clinical manifestation, treatment, and follow-up of small cell lung cancer, with particular emphasis on innovative therapies such as T-cell engagers and Antibody-Drug Conjugates. This was delivered to over 60 young oncology colleagues from every corner of Europe, among whom were several Greeks.
The experiences we gained and the impressions were excellent, with Greek Oncology once again taking the lead in the in-depth education of young oncologists at an international level. We renew our appointment for next year, with the hope and wish that we will have even more therapeutic options to offer our patients!”
