Gianluca Franceschini, Full Professor of General Surgery and Director of the Master’s Program in Integrated Therapies for Female Oncological Pathologies at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Here is the complete Video of the interview with Rai News 24, in which I explain what are the correct steps to follow if you identify a lump in the breast.

What to do if you notice a lump:

  • Specialist breast examination
  • Mammography and breast ultrasound, according to age and risk level
  • Needle biopsy, if indicated.

‘I have a lump in my breast. And now?’

Not all nodules are cancers, but they should never be ignored. As Director of the Breast Center of the Gemelli Polyclinic, I promote diagnostic paths based on scientific evidence.

In the interview with Rai News 24, I illustrate what are the correct steps to follow in case of a breast lump. Prevention and early diagnosis are fundamental tools for health protection.”
