Gianluca Franceschini: The 19th Meeting of the Breast Club at Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome

Gianluca Franceschini, Full Professor of General Surgery and Director of the Master’s Program in Integrated Therapies for Female Oncological Pathologies at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“19th Breast Club – Integrated Breast Center | Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome

Building tomorrow’s Senology today. Together!

The 19th meeting of the Breast Club, the ‘House of Breast Specialists’ of the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, was much more than a moment of update: it was a strategic opportunity for discussion to evaluate the results achieved and outline the future trajectories of our Integrated Breast Center.

In an increasingly complex healthcare context, true innovation lies not only in technologies or protocols but in the ability to integrate skills, visions, and responsibilities.

The work of a cohesive multidisciplinary team has allowed us to build truly integrated care pathways in which clinical quality, coordination, and centrality of the person converge in a single care model.

Our Center today represents an organizational and cultural laboratory in which the sharing of decisions, dialogue between professions, and attention to the human dimension of care become strategic levers to improve patient outcomes and experience.

This year’s results confirm that multidisciplinarity, when it is authentic, generates measurable and sustainable value.

A sincere thank you to all the professionals who make our ‘House of Breast Specialists’ possible every day, and to the speakers of the 19th Breast Club:

Paolo Belli, Daniela Chieffo, Flavia De Lauretis, Alessandra Fabi, Emanuela Lucci Cordisco, Stefano Magno, Fabio Marazzi, Armando Orlandi, Ida Paris, Giampaolo Ronconi, Simona Trotta, Giuseppe Visconti.

Thanks to Ambrogio Scognamiglio for his contribution on the strategic value of therapeutic communication and emotional intelligence as key skills in contemporary care models.

A special thought to Marco Conti, a colleague with whom we shared a path of growth and important results, who today undertakes new professional challenges: our thanks and best wishes to him.

This is the model of senology in which we believe and which we intend to continue to develop together with the professional community and institutions.

Because the future of care is built together, every day.”
