Gevorg Tamamyan reflected on this milestone on LinkedIn:

“It is a great honor to be named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO) – a recognition bestowed upon ASCO members who have shown extraordinary dedication through their voluntary efforts to benefit the Society, the specialty of oncology, and, most importantly, the patients we serve.

Years ago, when I first set foot at ASCO’s Annual Meeting – when all of Chicago was alive with the movement of nearly fifty thousand oncologists and members from around the world – I remember watching, in awe, as the world’s leading experts, whose names I had only read in books, were called to the stage to receive the title of FASCO. I could never have imagined that one day…

What can I say – I am deeply grateful to everyone who, in one way or another, directly or indirectly, has helped make this day possible. It is, indeed, a great honor – and an even greater responsibility.”
