“It is a great honour for me, and for all cancer patients in our country, to accept the proposal of the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis to assume the role of Chair of the Committee for the development of the National Cancer Action Plan in Greece. I accepted this role with great pleasure, fully aware that the responsibility is significant and the challenges ahead are many.
Guided by the European Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP) & the EU Mission on Cancer, and building on the substantial progress that has been achieved in recent years in cancer care in Greece, I stand ready to support the Ministry of Health in this national effort.
Our shared goal is the development of an effective, functional, and sustainable National Cancer Action Plan that truly responds to patients’ needs and strengthens the cancer care system. I sincerely thank the Minister of Health for the trust placed in me.”
