Gaia Griguolo, Junior Faculty Fixed-term Researcher at University of Padua, shared a post on X about a recent article by Jonathan T. Yang et al. published in Jama Oncology:
“Proton craniospinal irradiation (pCSI) for Leptomeningeal Metastasis:
In randomized phase 2 trial, pCSI outperformed involved-field RT (IFRT):
CNS-PFS: 8.2 vs 2.3 mo (P<.001)
Overall Survival: 11.3 vs 4.9 mo (P=.04).
Plus, this is not the first randomized phase II trial showing benefit from pCSI in this setting.”
