Gabrielle De La Croix, New Business Development Manager at Cigna Europe, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We were delighted to partner with Barbara Dietrich and Diplomatic World for the first edition of our new “Meet the Doctor” series, bringing together an inspiring group of women Ambassadors in Brussels for an engaging discussion on an important healthcare and societal issues.
Our guest speaker, Françoise Meunier, Vice-President of the Belgian Royal Academy of Medicine, shared her remarkable professional journey and her ongoing advocacy for the Right to be Forgotten for cancer survivors.
As advances in healthcare continue to improve outcomes, millions of people across Europe are living healthy lives after cancer. Yet many still face barriers when seeking access to financial products due solely to a past diagnosis. Dr. Meunier highlighted how the Right to be Forgotten initiative is helping drive greater awareness and policy change to ensure cancer survivors are assessed based on their current health status rather than their medical history.
The discussion reinforced the importance of addressing not only healthcare challenges but also the broader social and financial impacts that can affect people’s lives long after treatment has ended.
A sincere thank you to Françoise Meunier for sharing her expertise and passion, and to all the Ambassadors who contributed to such a thoughtful and insightful conversation. We also extend our appreciation to Barbara Dietrich and Diplomatic World for their partnership in launching this new format.”
