LUNGevity Foundation shared a post on X:
“For Dr. Frank Weinberg, lung cancer is both professional and personal. As a thoracic oncologist and lung cancer researcher at UI Health and University of Illinois Chicago Cancer Center, he has the privilege of caring for patients while working in the lab to better understand and treat this disease. But his commitment also comes from his own family, having lost both his aunt and grandmother to lung cancer.
‘I am proud to support LUNGevity Foundation’s incredible work funding research, advocacy, and patient support, and am especially excited that this fundraiser involves comedy, because after years of talking about cancer, grant deadlines, and marathon training with Team LUNGevity, I firmly believe laughter should be considered evidence-based medicine.’
Early bird tickets are on sale now for Laughs for LUNGevity. It is sure to be a night of fun in Chicago!”
