“Today we celebrated the inaugural lecture of Judith Gebauer Gebauer, our newly appointed Professor and Head of the Cancer Survivorship research group and program at the University Cancer Center Leipzig (UCCL).
Cancer survivorship research and care focuses on the long-term physical, psychological, and social consequences of cancer and its treatment, aiming to improve quality of life, follow-up care, and sustainable health after cancer.
With Judith Gebauer, Leipzig will significantly advance this diverse and highly relevant field of research and care at both national and international levels.
We warmly welcome Prof. Gebauer and her team to my department of oncology, the University Cancer Center Leipzig, and Leipzig University.”
