“Urgent update for our community: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has finalized a policy that places ostomy supplies into the competitive bidding process.
This decision will likely limit many ostomates’ ability to access the products and supplies that fit their individual needs. This change could significantly affect comfort, independence, and quality of life for many ostomates.
Earlier this year, Fight Colorectal Cancer advocates spoke out against this policy and while we’re disappointed to see it move forward, we’re not done fighting for ostomates.
