“Excited to share that our latest manuscript has been accepted for publication in Clinical and Translational Radiation Oncology (ctRO – Clinical and Translational Radiation Oncology)!
‘MRI-Guided Adaptive Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for the Prostate Bed: Early Safety and Patient-Reported Quality-of-Life Outcomes from a Prospective Study.’
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first prospective study from Spain evaluating online adaptive MR-guided SBRT (MR-Linac) delivered in 5 fractions to the prostate bed for patients with biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.
Our findings demonstrate the feasibility of this innovative approach, with encouraging early safety results and excellent preservation of patient-reported quality of life.
Congratulations to our outstanding first author, Daniela Gonsalves Pieretti, for leading this project. I am especially proud that this study forms part of Daniela’s PhD thesis, reflecting our commitment to combining clinical innovation with academic excellence.
