In early March, I joined Chancellor Julio Frenk and UCLA colleagues in Tokyo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UCLA Japan Alumni Association. This is the largest and oldest Bruin alumni network outside the U.S., founded in 1975.
From a private dinner with five generations of association leaders to an unforgettable celebration with Bruins spanning decades, it was a reminder of what’s possible when a university builds a lasting global community.
