Fagr Aboumadawy, Medical Oncology Specialist, Assistant Lecturer of Medical Oncology at Medical Research Institute – Alexandria University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m incredibly proud and grateful to share that I have completed my Certificate of Advanced Studies in Gynecological Malignancies In collaboration with the University of Italian Switzerland, Lugano, Switzerland with the European School of Oncology.
And then came the cherry on top, being recognized as the top scorer in the final examination in Lugano. A moment that made all those hours of studying, the sacrifices, and the perseverance feel even more meaningful
This journey started in May 2025 and has been one of the most challenging, enriching, and rewarding experiences of my professional life.
- 381 hours of studying.
- 6 module examinations.
- Countless evenings, weekends, and moments of studying whenever and wherever I could.
There were many times when finding the time was not easy, but I kept reminding myself that this journey was a commitment to continuous learning and to becoming better for the GYN patients in my community.
What made this experience truly special was the environment created by the European School of Oncology, inclusive, supportive, stimulating, and constructive.
A heartfelt thank you to all the Chairs and Faculty Prof.Sessa Cristiana, Prof.Ilaria Colombo, Prof.Alina Sturdza, Mariacristina Cedrini and Prof. Andrea Papadia for sharing your knowledge, experience, and constructive discussion throughout all.
It was a pleasure as well reuniting with Prof.Giuseppe Caruso and Prof Esteban Ciliberti. Their input is always appreciated.
A very warm and special thank you to Alexandra Zampetti for the incredible organization and for making this journey run so smoothly.
One of the greatest gifts of this experience was the wonderful group of colleagues I met along the way.
Grateful for the journey.
Proud of the achievement.
And even more motivated for what comes next.”
