“A special moment at the Italian Ministry of Health in Rome.
I am very honoured to receive the Premio LEADS ‘Alessandra Pederzoli’ for my research in ovarian cancer, integrating advanced imaging, genomics and artificial intelligence.
This recognition is particularly meaningful to me.
Much of my academic career has been dedicated to understanding how we can use imaging not simply to see cancer, but to better understand its biology – and how, by bringing imaging together with molecular data and AI, we can make cancer care increasingly precise and personalised.
Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers we face, and I am deeply grateful to the many brilliant colleagues and collaborators who have been part of this journey.
My sincere thanks to LEADS – Donne Leader in Sanità, and especially to Patrizia Ravaioli for this recognition and for the commitment to promoting women’s leadership in healthcare. I am particularly honoured to receive a prize dedicated to Alessandra Pederzoli, whose courage and commitment in the fight against cancer give this award an even more special meaning.
The future of cancer medicine lies in bringing disciplines together – turning increasingly complex data into better decisions for our patients.
