“Always a pleasure meeting with Prof. Rocco Bellantone, President of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità – Italy’s leading public health institution.
We discussed concrete steps to strengthen cooperation between the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and the Institute of Public Health of Albania, focusing on stronger laboratory and genomic surveillance capacities, advancing One Health approaches to antimicrobial resistance, improving environmental and NCD monitoring systems, and investing in structured training for young public health professionals.
I warmly welcome the shared commitment to move forward with the fist formal cooperation agreement between our institutions – a strategic step toward deeper scientific collaboration and stronger public health systems in our region.”
