“Like so many others, I’m in Madrid attending the ESMO Congress. Every year, it’s an intense and inspiring experience.
This year, I had the honor of taking part in a panel discussion organized by World Ovarian Cancer Coalition where we discussed the results of the Every Woman Study, what women with ovarian cancer still need, and the challenges that remain.

I emphasised the importance of ensuring that women experiencing symptoms can access primary healthcare in time, and that healthcare professionals in primary care are well-informed and have knowledge about the symptoms of ovarian cancer.
Equally important is timely access to innovative medicines that can save lives.
Every woman with ovarian cancer wants to live – but she also wants to live well, with a good quality of life.
I’m grateful to have been part of this important discussion and to celebrate 10 years of WOCC’s vital work advocating for women with ovarian cancer.”
